Welcome to the first Rugby World Cup in Asia
The Rugby World Cup 2019 in Japan is the ninth edition of this world class event and the first to be hosted in Asia. Hosted once every four years, and is the epitome of the rugby world.
People from all over the world will be visiting many different parts of Japan to support their favorite team and country to take the world cup title. Games will be held over the course of seven weeks and is the 3rd largest sports event in the world after the summer Olympics and the Football World Cup.

Bringing the World Together
As a completely new territory for the tournament to be held in, Japan will become one with the players and fans from the leading rugby nations of the world, working towards the common goal of making rugby a truly global sport. Japan and rugby fans from all over the world will share and unite under the spirit of rugby. The host cities across the country are filled with the desire to make the tournament an unforgettable one, and will stand together to welcome and entertain fans from all over the globe.

Our friends at JLE Japan are currently looking for dynamic individuals to join our ALL-STAR team to look after local and international guests on various hospitality programs during the Rugby World Cup 2019.

Competencies required
- Conversational Japanese skills for non-leadership or management positions
- Impeccable presentation
- Flexible availability
- Logical, organised and flexible/adaptable
- Common sense, prompt decision-making and initiative-taker
Additional competencies for certain roles:
- Fluent Japanese and English for leadership and management positions
- Additional international language
- Ability to handle pressure, keep calm and find solutions quickly
- Good knowledge of Japanese and Western cultures a bonus
- Working experience in sports, events and hospitality in Japan or internationally
Additional Details
- Dates: 01st September – 2nd November 2019
- Rates: from 10,000 JPY / day and upwards (dependent on experience and position)
- Full training will be provided for successful applicants

Join our Hospitality Team
Bartenders and Waiters
Waiter(ess)s / Bartenders - Catering staff will be offering food and drinks in hospitality suites and in-stadium dining rooms during match days. They provide an efficient and discreet service to VIP guests while being knowledgeable about the food/drinks they serve.
Hosts and Hostesses
Hosts and hostesses are accompanying VIP guests between venues (airport / hotel / stadium/ restaurant) and within the various stadiums. They will be the face of the client’s organisation, impersonating their values and ensuring the guests are having a good time, crafting a unique fun and relaxed (yet professional) atmosphere. They are among other providing support with general information and directions.

Catering Supervisors
An experienced supervisor makes sure their suite or dining area is running smoothly and that all their team members have the correct information and aware of their duties, while offering support when required.
Catering Managers
Catering managers keep an oversight on all the catering activities in the different stadiums. They have experience in international settings and large sports and corporate events.
Join our tour team
Tour Leaders
Local tour leaders will be hosting the VIP guests in the various host cities. They know those cities like their back-pocket and will be sharing tips and cultural/historical anecdotes about their city to bring it to life for the guests.
Join our management team
Team Leaders / Coordinators
Coordinators are hands on and oversee the logistics of the different onsite teams and ensure a cohesive approach and efficient running of the team’s operations.
Project / Venue / Operation Managers
Project/venue/operation managers oversee the full operations for a specific project/city/venue from start to finish, coordinating the various teams, supporting in the recruitment, the training and briefing of the teams. They have experience in international settings and running large sports and corporate events.
Transfer / Accommodation Managers
Managing and oversee the operations related to hotels (rooming lists, check-in/out, upgrades, cancellations, additions, etc.) and transfers (airports, train stations, hotels, stadiums, restaurants, meetings & conference venues, etc.). They have experience in international settings and large sports and corporate events.
